U.S. Congressman Ron Estes from Kansas appeared on Fox & Friends to discuss several topics, including the recent loss of his intern Eric Tarpinian-Jachym and crime in Washington D.C.

Reflecting on Eric's contribution, Estes said, "It's really a sad story, because you have such a great person, like Eric, who was such a nice young man. Everybody that he greeted, he was friendly." He highlighted the importance of creating safe environments for young people in the nation's capital and expressed disappointment over current safety measures. "As a parent, you really want your children to have opportunities like this...and you want to have a safe environment."

Estes praised Eric's ability to integrate into his office team within just one month. "He'd been with us only a month, but he really fit into the office," said Estes. He emphasized Eric's enthusiasm for participating in government operations and his positive interactions with constituents from Kansas' fourth district.

The congressman also criticized law enforcement and prosecutors for not taking stronger actions against those committing crimes. "It's just sad that when you have people that are actually going out and doing bad things that our law enforcement and our prosecutors won't prosecute them," he stated.
