Rep. Ron Estes, who represents Kansas’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on September 4, 2025, highlighting recent tax legislation and its impact on American families.
In his first post, Estes wrote, "The successful 2017 Trump Tax Cuts from the Tax Cuts & Jobs Act that delivered prosperity to American households and sent our economy soaring are now permanent. This will unleash even more prosperity in the years to come." (September 4, 2025).
He continued by referencing new legislation: "The Working Families Tax Cut was historic legislation signed into law on our nation's birthday two months ago. Here are just some of the wins for the American people in the bill. " (September 4, 2025).
Detailing specific provisions of this law, Estes stated: "Families will benefit from the Working Families Tax Cut: increases the Child Tax Credit to a permanent $2,200 enhances the Adoption Tax Credit" (September 4, 2025).
Ron Estes has served as a member of Congress since replacing Mike Pompeo in 2017 and currently resides in Wichita after being born in Topeka in 1956. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University.
