U.S. Representative Ron Estes, who serves Kansas’s 4th district, shared a series of posts on July 18, 2025, outlining key elements of a recent bill focused on family policy and funding priorities.

In one post, Estes stated: "Cutting off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood is a huge achievement of the bill. Taxpayer dollars shouldn't be funding this organization.

By making meaningful tax adjustments for American families and cutting off non-consented funding to Planned Parenthood, things will" (July 18, 2025).

Addressing broader policy goals of the Trump administration regarding family affordability and support, Estes wrote: "In order for the Trump administration to be the most pro-family, pro-life administration in history, the birth crisis and affordability to have a family had to be addressed.

One way was doubling the already successful Child Tax Credit." (July 18, 2025).

Highlighting additional provisions within the legislation aimed at working families, Estes added: "But wait, the bill keeps delivering wins for working families:

Increase of the Employer-Provided Childcare Credit so families can afford quality early education and remain in the workforce.

Makes Paid Family and Medical Leave permanent in the event of a family emergency." (July 18, 2025).

Ron Estes has represented Kansas’s 4th District in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Mike Pompeo. He was born in Topeka in 1956 and resides in Wichita. Estes holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University.
