U.S. Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas) has shared his views on the One Big, Beautiful Bill Act in an op-ed published by the Daily Wire. The congressman describes this legislation as "the most pro-family, pro-life piece of legislation in American history."

Rep. Estes emphasizes the bill's significance, stating, “The Big Beautiful Bill Act is unquestionably one of the most pivotal pieces of tax legislation to ever be passed into law.” He argues that it will benefit everyday Americans by lowering taxes and promoting economic prosperity.

A key aspect of the bill is its stance on Medicaid funding. It prohibits Medicaid funds from being directed to Planned Parenthood through Fiscal Year 2026, aligning with a recent Supreme Court ruling allowing states to block such payments.

The congressman also highlights demographic concerns, noting that birth rates have declined both nationally and in Kansas. He suggests that maintaining a birth rate of 2.1 births per woman is crucial for economic stability.

To support families, the bill includes provisions like enhancing the Child Tax Credit (CTC) and adoption tax credit while introducing Trump Accounts for newborns. These accounts allow parents and others to contribute financially towards future expenses such as education or healthcare.

Additionally, the bill increases credits for employer-provided childcare and makes Paid Family and Medical Leave permanent.

Rep. Estes concludes by reiterating the bill’s potential impact: “It will get the United States back on track, lower taxes for everyday Americans and lay the groundwork for economic prosperity in the country.”
