Rep. Ron Estes, who has represented Kansas’s 4th District in the U.S. Congress since 2017, recently shared several updates on social media addressing national security and infrastructure issues. Estes, born in Topeka, Kansas in 1956 and a graduate of Tennessee Technological University, currently resides in Wichita.

On July 13, 2025, Rep. Estes reflected on the anniversary of an attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. He wrote: "A year ago today, a horrific event occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a gunman attempted to take the life of President Trump.

Thankfully President Trump survived, but our nation lost a true hero: firefighter Corey Comperatore.

We'll never forget what happened that day or".

The following day, July 14, 2025, Estes commented on recent border security measures under President Trump’s administration. He stated: "President Trump is securing our southern border and cleaning up the mess Biden-Harris left our country in.

The One Big, Beautiful Bill provides DHS, Border Patrol and ICE with the funding they need to protect our communities, like the ones here in the Sunflower State."

Later on July 14, Estes addressed ongoing improvements to airspace safety and efficiency under current federal leadership. He posted: "Under the leadership of @POTUS, @SecDuffy, and FAA Administrator Bedford, our airspace has the potential to be safer and more efficient than ever before.

Improvements are already being done at the @FAANews."

Ron Estes succeeded Mike Pompeo as representative for Kansas’s 4th District in 2017.
