U.S. Congressman Ron Estes of Kansas addressed the House floor today, expressing his support for H.R. 1, known as the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. His remarks emphasized the benefits he believes this legislation will bring to families, workers, and small businesses in Kansas.

"Mr. Speaker, I rise today on behalf of the Kansas families, workers, and small businesses who will benefit from the One Big Beautiful Bill," Estes stated.

He highlighted that by extending and improving the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA), working-class families in his district could see significant financial benefits. "Working-class families in my district will pay $10,900 less in taxes and see increased wages of $7,200 on average," he said.

The bill also includes bipartisan legislation aimed at making research and development expensing permanent. According to Estes, this provision is crucial for maintaining America's leadership in global innovation. He added that it seeks to eliminate fraud and waste within Obamacare while building on former President Trump's efforts to secure the border.

Estes concluded his remarks by addressing criticisms from opposing lawmakers: "Despite the misleading spin from my colleagues on the left, this bill delivers on what Americans voted for in November – it’s time to pass the One Big Beautiful Bill."

With these points made clear, Congressman Estes yielded back his time on the floor.
