Rep. Ron Estes of Kansas has expressed his support for the recently announced trade agreement between the United States and the United Kingdom. In a statement, Rep. Estes highlighted the potential benefits of increased trade with the UK for various sectors in Kansas, including agriculture and manufacturing.

"Greater free and fair trade with the UK benefits Kansas farmers, ranchers, manufacturers and workers," he stated. He further described the agreement as "a positive step forward in leveling the playing field and expanding markets for American producers."

In addition to praising the trade deal, Rep. Estes called for action on digital services taxes (DSTs), which he believes unfairly target American companies. "The next step is to address the egregious digital services taxes that target American ingenuity and that should be ended immediately," he added.

The announcement of this trade agreement marks a significant development in US-UK relations under President Trump's administration.
