The Q-LINE, a free bus operation typically serving Douglas Avenue from Crown Heights to Delano, will operate a summertime extension from Saturday, May 27 through Saturday, August 12.

The Q-LINE recently extended further east along Douglas to Edgemoor Street and will now extend west along Museum Blvd to access numerous museums and attractions. The Q will operate Monday through Saturday from early morning to late evening. The Q will operate with high-frequency service every 15-20 minutes during museum hours.

The museum loop extension will provide direct access to Exploration Place, Mid-America All-Indian Museum, Wichita Art Museum, Old Cowtown and the Advanced Learning Library.

A detailed service schedule and real-time tracking of the Q can be found within the MyStop mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices.

In addition to free transportation to the museums and summer activities, youth can explore the attractions on our museum loop with free admission through the Sunflower Summer program, provided by the Kansas State Department of Education.

Through the Sunflower Summer program, Kansas residents with students enrolled in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible to access one free ticket per child to 15 different Wichita attractions, museums, zoos and more. Up to two adults may also access a ticket voucher on the Sunflower Summer app when accompanying students. Parents and guardians may download the Sunflower Summer app free from either Google Play (Android) or Apple (IOS) app stores.
