Rep. Ron Estes, a U.S. Congressman representing Kansas’s 4th district since 2017, has recently used his social media platform to promote legislative efforts and commemorate significant historical events.
On August 18, 2025, Estes posted about the One Big, Beautiful Bill, stating that "The One Big, Beautiful Bill is good for Kansas families because it: Establishes savings accounts for newborns Raises the Child Tax Credit Boosts the Adoption Tax Credit Increases the Employer-Provided Childcare Credit".
The following day, on August 19, 2025, Estes addressed opposition to the bill in another post. He wrote, "When every Democrat voted against the One Big, Beautiful Bill, they voted for a tax increase on every American. For Kansans, they would have gotten stuck with a $2,200 tax increase."
In a separate message on August 20, 2025, Estes recognized National Aviation Day and its connection to Orville Wright’s birthday. He noted the importance of aerospace innovation in Kansas by saying "It's National Aviation Day! Part of what makes today unique is it's also Orville Wright's birthday - one of the brothers who was first in flight. In the Air Capital of the World, we recognize the aerospace innovation that started with the Wright Brothers & continues on today!"
Estes has represented Kansas’s 4th District since replacing Mike Pompeo in Congress in 2017. Born in Topeka in 1956 and currently residing in Wichita at age 66, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University.
