Community Invited to Kansas Day at the Great Plains Nature Center
On Saturday, January 28, the Great Plains Nature Center (GPNC) at 6232 E. 29th St. North, will host their Kansas Day celebration from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. This free open house event will highlight the organization and the beautiful state of Kansas. The event is open to all ages.
Visitors will be able to learn about:
Upcoming events such as Walk with Wildlife or Art on the Trail;
GPNC clubs; • Kansas trivia;
Volunteer opportunities;
GPNC's Favorite Things (program starts at 11 a.m.);
The 2023 Annual Guide and more.
The Great Plains Nature Center is a cooperative project between the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks, City of Wichita, and the Friends of the Great Plains Nature Center nonprofit organization. These partners share a common goal of providing opportunities for the public to investigate, understand and develop an appreciation for wildlife and the environment, while promoting sound stewardship of natural resources.
