Friends University carries enrollment momentum with record breaking traditional undergraduate students

Friends University’s traditional undergraduate student enrollment continues to carry the momentum of record-breaking enrollment numbers from the last two years. Traditional undergraduate students typically include students between the ages of 18 and 23 years of age who have enrolled in college after graduating high school.

Total traditional student enrollment which includes new students, returning students and transfer students saw a five percent increase from fall 2021.

The fall 2022 semester sees over 1,000 students on campus with 856 traditional undergraduate students, both new and returning students, yielding the highest number in this category for more than seven years. In addition, over 100 Early College Academy students and nearly 50 Friendship Field students are also on campus each day.

More than half of the traditional student population lives on campus with housing reaching maximum capacity.

Along with traditional undergraduate students, Friends University has more than 500 adult students at the Wichita and Kansas City campuses who are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate degree-seeking programs.

“We are pleased with the enrollment numbers at Friends University giving us the ability to share our top-notch programming with so many students,” said Dr. Amy Bragg Carey, president of Friends University. “As a small close-knit community, our dedicated faculty and staff are committed to providing a caring and personal Christian experience for each student aligning with our mission and values.”
