WASHINGTON – Today, Rep. Ron Estes (R-Kansas) took a firm stand against wasteful spending in Washington by voting against a costly package of spending bills amounting to $1.2 trillion.

Speaking on the matter, Rep. Estes expressed his concerns, stating, "At $34.5 trillion in debt and when we're borrowing $95,000 per second, there is no reason to continue pushing forward reckless spending full of pet projects and waste that doesn't benefit Kansans."

He further emphasized the need for immediate action, asserting, "We must change our fiscal trajectory now instead of continuing down the same path of consolidated spending packages in 1,000-plus page bills that only worsen our country's fiscal crisis."

Rep. Estes' resolute stance highlights the ongoing debate surrounding fiscal responsibility and targeted spending in the nation's capital.
