Rep. Ron Estes, a U.S. Congressman representing Kansas’ 4th district since 2017, recently addressed several policy issues on his official Twitter account, including healthcare legislation, international taxation, and disaster relief for Kansans.
On September 15, 2025, Estes wrote that he had joined the House Ways and Means Committee in contacting federal officials about the implementation of healthcare law: "I joined @WaysandMeansGOP in sending a letter to @SecScottBessent & @SecKennedy urging full implementation of the No Surprises Act to end surprise medical bills. The Biden administration implementation plan was struck down for failing to follow Congressional intent."
The following day, Estes criticized foreign tax policies affecting American businesses: "Foreign countries, including the U.K., continue to implement discriminatory taxes that largely target U.S. innovators and workers, shifting American dollars into foreign coffers. The UK’s Digital Services Tax has collected over $3 billion since 2020, 90% coming from U.S." (September 16, 2025).
Later on September 16, Estes announced new federal aid for Kansans affected by severe weather earlier in the year: "Kansans affected by the severe storms in June will now be able eligible for additional aid in the recovery process thanks to @POTUS & @fema approving the state’s disaster relief request. Thank you President Trump for supporting our state so Kansans can recover and rebuild."
Estes has represented Kansas's 4th District since succeeding Mike Pompeo in Congress in 2017. Born in Topeka in 1956 and currently residing in Wichita, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University.
