Ron Estes announces arrests in intern's murder and highlights Social Security visit

Rep. Ron Estes, who represents Kansas’ 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently shared updates on social media regarding law enforcement developments and Social Security services in Wichita.

On September 5, 2025, Estes announced that "Two arrests have been made connected to the murder of my intern, Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, as announced by @USAttyPirro today. I extend my appreciation to Attorney Pirro, her team, and @DCPoliceDept for diligently working on this case to bring those responsible to justice."

The following day, September 6, 2025, Estes highlighted a visit from Social Security Commissioner Bisignano: "Yesterday I welcomed @SocialSecurity Commissioner Bisignano to Wichita & our local Social Security field office. While there, we discussed customer service improvements & how Congress and SSA can work together to enhance services & protect benefits for Kansans & all Americans."

On September 8, 2025, he reiterated his engagement with the commissioner and the focus of their discussions: "I enjoyed having Commissioner Bisignano in Wichita. We toured the @SocialSecurity field office and discussed the improvements to customer service under the Trump administration."

Estes has served as the U.S. Representative for Kansas’s 4th District since 2017 after succeeding Mike Pompeo. Born in Topeka in 1956 and currently residing in Wichita, Estes is an alumnus of Tennessee Technological University.
