The Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce invites you
CHAIR'S LUNCH 2023
What would Wichita be like without the Advanced Learning Library, the Keeper of the Plains, or Riverfront Stadium? If Wichita had never become the air capital of the world, would the community be a hub of manufacturing today?
Joy Eakins, 2023 Chair of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce, is challenging Wichita’s business leaders to consider how faithfully investing in people creates opportunities for future generations to make significant contributes to the community and the region at the 2023 Chamber Chair’s Lunch.
Eakins, who is president of Cornerstone Data, believes that faithful investments by past generations have contributed to today’s successes, and continued investment is needed to build success tomorrow.
Eakins, who is president of Cornerstone Data, says she owes her success in part to people who invested in her when she started her small business nearly 15 years ago. She will moderate a panel featuring three Wichitans who are changing the community’s landscape because others invested in them:
• Vicki Bond, chief executive officer for Medical Provider Resources and founder of the Raise My Head Foundation, a 2-year residential and social enterprise in Wichita serving women with a history of human trafficking.
• Robert Garner, president and CEO at Youth Horizons, a faith-based organization known for its mentoring and teen residential service programs.
• Joe Jabara, Colonel (R), KSANG, director of the Hub for Cybersecurity Education and Awareness, who is credited by many with bringing the industry to Wichita.
