City Hall First Floor Renovations Begin Jan. 3
On Tuesday, January 3, renovations will begin on the first floor of City Hall, primarily on the north and east sides of the floor. Improvements will include new service windows for the Housing and Water Departments along with a private meeting space and relocation of the central information desk. Visitors to City Hall will now be able to access the most utilized resources in one location.
When City Hall reopened after the COVID-19 shutdown, services were temporarily re-located on the first floor to minimize the spread of the virus. The change proved to be beneficial for visitors and staff alike. Staff decided to make the changes permanent to optimize resident services at City Hall. The City Council voted to approve the renovations in April 2022. The impact of construction to visitors at City Hall should be minimal. Construction is expected to last two months.
