Friends University Christmas Candlelight is Back on Campus on Dec. 2-4

Wichita’s beloved holiday tradition, the Christmas Candlelight concert, will be returning to the Friends University Sebits Auditorium stage. This year, concert goers will receive plenty of what keeps them coming back every year with exciting new additions.

The Singing Quakers, coming up on its 100th year in existence, will be joined by the Concert Choir to create a masterful blend of joyous voices over 80 strong.

In a tradition started last year, concert goers will have the opportunity to hear from other groups including jazz, orchestra, band and dance. We are also excited to have the a cappella group, Jazz Vocal Ensemble, back this year!

“We are thrilled to be back home on campus for this holiday spectacular,” said the event’s Artistic Director and Singing Quaker Conductor, Dr. Rayvon T. J. Moore. “Join us and let’s celebrate the Christmas season together!”

As guests arrive, they will be greeted with festive music played by various chamber ensembles, including the Friends University Flute Choir and Brass Quintet.

Christmas Candlelight will be performed Dec. 2-3 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 4 at 2 p.m. in Sebits Auditorium in the Riney Fine Arts Center located at 2100 W. University Ave, Wichita, KS 67213. Ticket prices are $16 for adults and $12 for students and seniors (55+) at friends.edu/fineartstickets.
