47 percent of applicants to Friends University were admitted for fall 2018

At Friends University, 74 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Wichita enrolled 1,926 students in fall 2018, including 1,356 in undergraduate and 570 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

70 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kansas, and 29 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (62 percent) and Black or African American (9 percent).

The school admitted 47 percent of the 792 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 46 percent enrolled.
