U.S. Congressman Ron Estes (R-Kansas), who serves as Chair of the Social Security Subcommittee, took part in a recent Ways & Means Committee markup session focused on legislation related to Social Security, healthcare, and taxes. During the session, Rep. Estes voted in favor of two bills aimed at assisting victims of identity theft, including children. The proposed legislation is designed to enhance protections and strengthen the security of Americans' identities.
“These pieces of legislation are intended to improve protection and reinforce security of an American’s identity,” said Rep. Estes.
Rep. Estes has represented Kansas’ 4th district in Congress since 2017 after succeeding Mike Pompeo. He was born in Topeka, Kansas in 1956 and currently resides in Wichita. Estes holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University.
